Hi everyone. It's Laura and welcome to another episode of the Connected Body podcast. Today I wanted to share something with you. I have been studying sound healing for the past couple years and I would love to share with you a sound bath that I have created. I hope you will enjoy it. It's something a little bit different than I normally do, but I will be adding more of these and please let me know how much you enjoy it. And all you need to do is find a comfortable space. You could be sitting up, lying down, gently close your eyes and settle in for this 15-minute lightness and deep rest sound bath. Welcome to today's sound bath.

Speaker 1:

As we explore lightness and deep rest in our bodies today, all you need to do is gently close your eyes, relax and settle into your space. Fabulous, let's get started together. Let's begin by taking a deep breath in and filling up your lungs with life-giving oxygen and allowing your exhale to be even longer. Now, at your own pace, take another deep breath in, feeling your lungs expanding as they fill up with life-giving oxygen and going to every cell of your body. Notice how your body easily starts to relax gently. Now imagine you are inviting a golden light into your body through the crown of your head, and as this light swirls through your body, it starts to take with it any tension or tightness. Now, together, let's breathe in lightness and exhale any heaviness. Inhale peace, exhale love. Inhale love, exhale peace. That's it. And on your next breath, allow that lightness to flow through your body as it naturally starts to relax deeper, deeper and deeper, softening you, expanding you. Now envision this light above your head. Whatever color comes to you is just perfect. Notice as it flows in through your crown to your forehead, gently softening your face, muscles, your eyes as they naturally relax into their sockets. Notice your mouth, your jaw and any tension starting to fall away. Now envision this light gently flowing down your throat to your shoulders, your arms down to your elbows, your forearms, your wrists to the tips of your fingers, and with it taking any tension or tightness. And even though you know you could lift your heavy hands at any moment, it feels good to naturally rest and relax and let go knowing you're fully supported. Now envision this light flowing down into your chest, into your heart space, filling it with love and lightness. As it flows down your belly, into your hips, swirling around, releasing any tightness, and it's traveling now down your legs, your thighs, to your knees, your shins, your calves to your ankles and to the soles of your feet. You're doing so well.

Now imagine any remaining tightness to just flow out of your feet down to the earth below you, as you naturally start to rest deeper, deeper and deeper, knowing all is well, softly whisper to yourself. With every inhale, I invite lightness and deep rest into every cell of my body. With every exhale, I allow any heaviness to flow away. Now imagine any remaining tightness to just flow out of your feet. Now, imagine any remaining tightness to just flow away. Now, imagine any remaining tightness to just flow away. Now, imagine any remaining tightness to just flow away. Now, imagine any remaining tightness to just flow away.

And as you allow yourself to return to this space, to this time, to feel the floor and the earth below you and notice how your body has changed, knowing that you've given yourself the gift of life and art, of self love and self care and taking the time to nurture your soul, your spirit and your inner goddess, and knowing that this vibration lives in the memory of your cells.

And you can come back to this feeling of lightness any time by connecting back to the rhythm of your breath and the feel of the vibrations flowing through your body. Your body naturally speaks the rhythm of your breath and as you start to come back more and more gently place your awareness on your feet, your toes start to wiggle your toes, your ankles gently wiggle your fingers and any part of your body that's calling out to you. Now Take the time you need to connect back into your body. Om Shanti, shanti, shanti means peace, peace, peace, peace. May you walk in peace, may your heart be filled with love, may you feel lightness. You may now awaken refreshed, relaxed and renewed. Namaste, thank you, you, you, you, you, you.
